Not every trade business has time for a full website project. Sometimes a proper public profile does most of the job.
Building a full website is, for a lot of trade businesses, permanently "next on the list" - somewhere below actually doing the work that pays the bills. Which is a reasonable set of priorities, right up until a potential customer searches your business name and finds nothing that looks credible.
The gap a basic web presence fills
Most customers aren't reading a business's full site history and mission statement. They want to know: is this a real, active business, what do they do, and can I trust them. A clean public profile - services, contact details, reviews, maybe a few photos of past work - answers all three without needing months of design work.
A stopgap that's genuinely useful, not a compromise
A published business profile inside the software you're already using for jobs and quotes means it stays current without extra effort - no separate content management system to log into and forget about. It's not a replacement for a proper website once a business is ready to invest in one (that's a different job entirely - see our sister company Nimble IO's web design work for that end of things), but for a lot of businesses it's a genuinely solid interim answer, or even a long-term one.
The verdict
Not having a "proper" website yet isn't a crisis. Having literally nothing for a customer to find when they search your name is.
