This cookie policy explains how Pipeline (operated by Nimble IO Ltd, “we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on pipelineapp.co.uk. It should be read alongside our privacy policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site owner. Some cookies are essential, while others help us understand how visitors interact with the site.

We also use similar technologies such as local storage to remember your cookie preferences on this site.

How we use cookies

We use cookies for three purposes: to make the site work, to understand how the site is used, and to measure the effectiveness of our marketing. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites or to build advertising profiles.

The cookies we use

Strictly necessary

These cookies are essential for the website to function. They do things like remember your cookie preferences, keep form submissions secure, and help pages load correctly. The site cannot work properly without them, so they cannot be switched off.

  • pipeline-cookie-consent - remembers your cookie preferences so you are not asked again on every page. Stored in your browser’s local storage.
  • pipeline:sales-modal - remembers that we have already shown you our welcome offer, so you only see it once. Stored in your browser’s local storage.

Forms

Our contact, demo and mailing-list forms are provided by Pipeline itself and are loaded from app.pipelineapp.co.uk. They collect only what you type into them and are used to answer your enquiry or to send you the updates you asked for. See our privacy policy for how we handle that data.

Fonts

We load our typeface from Google Fonts. This means Google receives your IP address when a page loads. Google Fonts does not set advertising cookies, but it is a third-party request - it is listed here so you have the full picture.

Analytics

If you allow analytics cookies, we use them to understand how visitors find and use the site - which pages are most popular, how people navigate between them, and where things could be improved. The data is aggregated and anonymous: we do not know who you are individually, and we do not share it with advertisers.

We use Google Analytics 4 for this. It is only loaded once you have allowed analytics cookies - if you reject them, or have not answered the banner yet, the Google Analytics script is never requested and none of the cookies below are set. If you later withdraw your consent, we delete these cookies.

  • _ga - distinguishes one visitor from another so we can count unique visits. Expires after 2 years.
  • _ga_<container id> - keeps track of the current visit (the session) so a single browsing session is not counted as several. Expires after 2 years.

Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited and is configured with Google Consent Mode, IP addresses are not stored, and we have turned off sharing this data with Google for advertising purposes. You can read Google’s privacy policy, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to block it across all websites.

Marketing

If you allow marketing cookies, we use them to measure how effective our marketing campaigns are - for example, knowing whether a visitor arrived from a particular advert or campaign. We do not use them to retarget you with adverts across other websites, and we never sell this data.

We do not currently run any marketing cookies on this site. If we introduce them we will list them here and ask for your consent first. No analytics or marketing cookie is ever set unless you have opted in.

Managing your preferences

When you first visit the site, you will see a banner asking which cookies you allow. You can:

  • Accept all - allow all categories.
  • Reject non-essential - only strictly necessary cookies are used.
  • Settings - choose individual categories.

You can change your choice at any time using the Manage cookies link in the footer of every page.

Browser controls

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you refuse cookies, accept only some cookies, or delete cookies already stored. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working as expected. Guidance for the major browsers:

Third-party requests

Some of the requests described above go to third parties (for example Google Fonts and Google Analytics). Those providers process data under their own privacy policies. We do not control cookies set by external sites linked from ours.

Changes to this policy

We may update this cookie policy from time to time - for example if we add or remove a tool. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Significant changes will be reflected in the cookie banner so you can review and reconfirm your choices.
