Adding to a Quote or Invoice
When building a quote or invoice, use the item picker to search and select catalogue items. The description and sale price fill in automatically, and the catalogue item ID is stored against the line.
Editing on the Line
You can adjust the description and price on the line without changing the stored catalogue item.

Reusing catalogue items keeps pricing consistent and, because each line can carry its cost price, feeds accurate margin reporting.
