Why Groups
Line items on a quote are organised into groups. Groups let you separate the core work from extras, and let the customer choose what they want. Group titles are shown to you internally and on the customer-facing quote.
Included Items Groups
Every new quote starts with an Included Items group. Everything in an Included Items group is part of the quote total and cannot be toggled off by the customer.
Optional Groups
An Optional group lets the customer decide whether to include the items. Each optional item can be ticked on or off by the customer, and the totals update live as they choose.
Multiple Choice Groups
A Multiple Choice group presents a set of options where the customer selects one - for example a good, better, best upgrade. Options use radio-button-style selection so only one choice can be active at a time.
Adding Items to a Group
Within any group, use the "Add item" button to add a custom line, or the "Select item" button to pull a line from your item catalogue. You can reorder and edit lines after adding them.
Automatic Recalculation
As the customer selects optional and multiple-choice items, the subtotal, VAT, discounts, deposit and total - including any recurring total - recalculate automatically.
