What QuickBooks Online Does

QuickBooks Online integration lets Pipeline send invoices and expenses to the connected QuickBooks company. Pipeline keeps the sync status and attempt history on each invoice or expense.

Before You Start

You need:

  • A QuickBooks Online company
  • An Intuit Developer app for Pipeline
  • The Pipeline QuickBooks callback URL
  • Permission to connect apps in Pipeline

Configure the Intuit App

  1. Open the Intuit Developer dashboard
  2. Create or open the Pipeline app
  3. Add the Pipeline QuickBooks callback URL to Redirect URIs
  4. Use localhost only for local sandbox testing
  5. Use HTTPS for production redirect URLs
  6. Save the client ID and client secret in the Pipeline environment or integration configuration

Connect QuickBooks in Pipeline

  1. Open Pipeline and go to Settings
  2. Select Apps
  3. Find the QuickBooks card
  4. Click Connect
  5. Sign in to Intuit
  6. Select the QuickBooks company
  7. Approve access and return to Pipeline

Syncing Records

Open an invoice or expense and use the Integrations tab to send it to QuickBooks. Pipeline records the external ID, provider response and current sync state.

Troubleshooting

  • If connection fails, check the redirect URL matches the Intuit app exactly
  • If sandbox works but production does not, check you are using production credentials
  • If sync fails for invoice numbers, check for duplicates in QuickBooks
  • If sync fails for tax or accounts, check the configured mappings
